Summer In Your Eyes

"With a sigh of relief and an ache in his heart of the longed familiarity, Dexter dropped his bag. Home, Dexter took in a grounding breath of the smell of fresh air and lake water.

       'Finally,' Dexter contently sighed, 'I'm home.'"

Dexter has always loved summertime. The fresh air, the lake, but most of all Steve Anderson. Growing up, Dexter and Steve were the thickest of thieves. Teaming up to annoy their siblings, play video games, and create a lifetime worth of memories over fluffernutter sandwiches.

After Dexter's grandfather's death, he thought that was all they'd ever be: memories. Especially since the Price family has been gone from the lake house for four years. But all that changes the summer after Dexter graduates high school when the Price family packs up and heads out to the cherished lake house.

 

 

There's been a lot of changes since Dexter was gone, but when he reunites with his handsome childhood friend and first crush, Steve, he discovers that maybe somethings never change.
