All Grown Up

A pang close to nostalgia flowed through the bond. Jude understood because he felt it too. It had been a speedrun, the past six years. Of course, if he was being honest with himself, it had really been the past twenty-four years.

It felt like just yesterday Jude and TJ were bringing home their son, Oliver, for the first time. Now, twenty-four years later, their little guy was all grown up. When had that happened?

 

For twenty-four years, Jude and TJ had been doing the best they could as fathers. To raise their children to be good people and to do right by others as much as by themselves. Yet, the pair weren't prepared for the day to come when their kids weren't little anymore.

 

And while Jude and TJ weren't ready to be empty nesters just yet, they were excited for the next chapter in their lives: being the Fathers of the Bridegroom.
