Together Forever

TJ rested his hand on the center console, palm up. A simple gesture that let Jude know that he wanted to hold his hand. It didn’t take even half a second before Jude was placing his hand in his mate’s, lacing their fingers together. Jude knew that he didn’t need a big party to celebrate their marriage, he just needed this. Together forever, till the end of the line.

It felt like just yesterday, Jude and TJ were at Natalie's Halloween party. Unwittingly two halves of a couples costume. And now look at them! Over fifty years since that fateful night, and now, celebrating their fiftieth wedding anniversary with their loved ones.

 

In the half-century that TJ and Jude had been together they had watched their family grow. First, with their own children. Then, with their grandchildren. And now, their great grandchildren. They weren't sure how they had gotten so lucky, but they were glad that they were.
