Dexter has always loved summertime. The fresh air, the lake, but most of all Steve Anderson. Growing up, Dexter and Steve were the thickest of thieves. Teaming up to annoy their siblings, play video games, and create a lifetime worth of memories over fluffernutter sandwiches.

After Dexter's grandfather's death, he thought that was all they'd ever be: memories. Especially since the Price family has been gone from the lake house for four years. But all that changes the summer after Dexter graduates high school when the Price family packs up and heads out to the cherished lake house.

There's been a lot of changes since Dexter was gone, but when he reunites with his handsome childhood friend and first crush, Steve, he discovers that maybe somethings never change.

The worst day of Arthur's life was supposed to be the best day. Or at least that was what he had spent years planning. Growing up on his best friend, Nakeisha's Barbie Dolls and romcoms, it was no wonder that Arthur had high hopes for his wedding day. But perhaps, that was where it all went wrong.

Being left at the alter, Arthur had to pick himself up. Had to begin again. While it was no small feat, Arthur grew into the man he was supposed to be. Realizing that a partner and a relationship wasn't going to make him happy and that the first place to start a change was from within.

Now, six years after the incident, Arthur has is mortuary license, is a loving uncle, and happens to have one hell of a sweet tooth. Especially after Arthur meets the eccentric baker, Theo. A man who is as sweet on the eyes as his delectable creations are on the taste buds.

Is it possible for this to be the start of something new? Is Arthur ready to begin again?
